The mathematics community suffered a great loss on Saturday, January 26th, 2008 when Herbert B. Keller, Professor Emeritus of Applied & Computational Mathematics at Caltech, passed away at his home. The faculty and staff of the Department of Applied & Computational Mathematics are organizing this workshop to honor the lifetime of contributions that Herb made to the field of Applied Mathematics.

We hope that you will join us in celebrating the work and character of this great mathematician, bicyclist and friend.
